DESIGN NOTES

Each design is essentially visual art and does not have to be practical or functional. This is your chance to unleash radical design ideas and push the boundaries of style, colour and structure. Detail is important, but so is an overall concept. 

 

It is mandatory that your hat or hair artwork is well balanced and fully self supported. It must sit firmly on the model's head and must be capable of parading  during judging and at the Awards show.
 

Hat or Hair entries may contain or feature any material or products.

Hair art designs must comprise at least 50% hair. This does not have to be all  the model's own hair and it may be worn on any part of the body. Non-human and  synthetic hair is permitted. Design can be premade and attached on the day Hats must be entirely created (they cannot be a decoration of an existing hat),  but they can be adapted from other items.
